Rally Health's Downtown Digs Don't Look Like a UnitedHealth Office — But That's the Point

UnitedHealth Group Inc. is a huge corporation, a leader in size and intrigue among the state's other huge enterprises.

Those characteristics are why Rally Health, which the Minnetonka-based health care giant's Optum unit bought in 2014, seems like such a departure from its parent company, reports the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.

"A digital-health venture with a growing operation in downtown Minneapolis, Rally Health sets out to disrupt from the inside and challenge health care practices by bringing on industry outsiders," writes Alex Wittenberg.

"For Karl Ulfers, chief product officer and Rally's top executive in Minneapolis, fostering an outsider's lens is critical."
